These terms govern your use of TipTap, operated by Domnik LLC (doing business as “TipTap”), a company based in California, United States.

By accessing or using TipTap’s websites, apps, and services (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time; when we do, we will post the revised terms here with a new “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
TipTap is a platform that lets fans send tips to creators and buy digital content that creators offer. Creators on TipTap are independent third parties, not employees, agents, or partners of Domnik LLC. We provide the platform; creators are solely responsible for their content, their conduct, and the products they sell. When you tip or buy from a creator, your transaction is with that creator, facilitated by TipTap and our payment processors.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service, including sending tips, buying content, creating an account, or receiving payouts as a creator. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you can form a binding contract under applicable law.
Some features require an account (email, handle, and password). You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Creators may connect social accounts (such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Reddit, or Facebook) so that fans can find and verify them; you may only connect accounts you own or are authorized to use. Notify us promptly at hello@thetiptapapp.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Tips are voluntary payments of support from a fan to a creator. A tip is not a purchase of goods or services, does not entitle you to anything in return unless the creator explicitly offers it, and is not a charitable donation and is not tax-deductible. Creators may offer perks tied to tipping activity; perks are offered and fulfilled by the creator, not by Domnik LLC.
Creators may sell digital content (such as exclusive files) through the Service. Digital products are sold by the creator and delivered as downloads after payment. If you purchase without an account (guest checkout), your download links are provided on the confirmation page for that purchase — keep that page open or save your download, because we may not be able to recover guest purchase links afterward. Purchases of digital products are separate from tips and may not count toward creator perks unless stated otherwise.
Payments are processed by third-party payment processors, including Stripe and PayPal (which also powers Venmo payments). By making or receiving payments, you also agree to the applicable processor terms, including the Stripe Connected Account Agreement and PayPal User Agreement.
TipTap charges a platform fee on transactions, and payment processors charge their own processing fees. The fees that apply to your transaction are shown at checkout before you pay. Fee amounts and structure may change over time. Creators are solely responsible for their own taxes on amounts they receive through the Service.
Because tips are voluntary, tips are generally non-refundable, except where required by law or where a refund is granted through a payment processor dispute. Digital product purchases are generally non-refundable once the content has been delivered. If you believe a charge was made in error or without your authorization, contact us at hello@thetiptapapp.com and we will work with you and the payment processor in good faith. Chargebacks and payment disputes are handled through Stripe or PayPal under their respective policies.
Creators retain ownership of the content they upload. By uploading content (including profile information and product files), you grant Domnik LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and deliver that content as needed to operate the Service. Creators represent that they have all rights necessary to sell the content they offer and that their content does not infringe anyone else’s rights.
You agree not to use the Service to:
We may remove content or suspend accounts that we reasonably believe violate this section.
We respect intellectual property rights and respond to notices of alleged infringement consistent with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a takedown request to hello@thetiptapapp.com with (a) identification of the work, (b) the location of the allegedly infringing material, (c) your contact information, (d) a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized, and (e) a statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate and you are authorized to act.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, and we are not responsible for the content, conduct, or products of creators or other users.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Domnik LLC and its officers, members, and employees will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to TipTap in platform fees in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Domnik LLC from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these terms or applicable law.
You may stop using the Service or close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms, legal risk, or discontinuation of the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including payment obligations, content licenses needed to complete deliveries, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) survive.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of these terms or the Service will be brought in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except that either party may seek relief in small-claims court where eligible.
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any policies referenced here, are the entire agreement between you and Domnik LLC about the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
